Would it be possible to use for the actual cover of my book? Credit would be given in the title page or wherever you would like. This is my second version as I'm not sure I will get permission from everyone.
Gawsh that makes me jealous. I've been doing it for at least ten years, since I was little, and I still can't do pointe. Getting sick and never completely recovering doesn't help. I suppose I would have been able to do pointe if I hadn't been ill. That's really tough. But yeah, you look great. ^-^ Maybe some day...
I was a late starter. I began training when I was 18. After 3 years I started pointe class. I was taking 3+ ballet classes a week, after the first year, so I advanced pretty fast. I still have bad feet though, due to starting late. Darn my mother and not paying for any classes!
I took most other styles of dance as well, including Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, Tribal Belly Dance, Flamenco, Irish Step Dance, Break core/dance, and some others. Hmm It looks so weird when I write it down haha
I envy you for starting so early, I bet you have great feet
If you have any old shoes, ones you don't like so much, try what I did with my shoes.
Get a foundation sponge, and apply a thin layer of manic panic vampire red to the shoe. Once that has dried, do this in layers until you get a smooth finish. I like to use a hair dryer to keep the shoe from getting soft. When you are done, waite a few days for the shoe to completely dry, and then it should be usable ^_^
I just left the dye in, no rinsing. After a few days the silk will take in all of the dye, so you don't leave yucky marks on the floor
My shoes still had a lot of use after I dyed them.
Humm, this is a sinergy between model and maker. Both her expression and capture of it leave on feeling as if you have witnessed a moment in time that we all would like to experience. Oh, I ramble -- Bravo.
